Shrek Forever After

My son Clyde grew up loving Shrek. While his cousins are fond of Superheroes like Spiderman and Superman, Clyde grew up idolizing this ogre. He's been watching Shrek movies almost everyday from the time we bought him DVDs of this story (Shrek 1, 2, 3 and Shrek the Halls). It even came to a point that the discs "gave up"  because it's being played repeatedly for hours. Now that the final chapter of this movie has been released, we will not miss the chance of watching it. It's a bit saddening though knowing that this will be their last movie. Nevertheless, I'm so thankful for those people who are behind this movie because it helped a lot in my child's development. My kid learned a lot of songs and expressions because of this movie. Can't wait for the weekend to arrive. We'll be watching Shrek forever after on Saturday, after Clyde's flu shot. I'll be posting about our experience on this movie soon!

Plants vs Zombies

Today is already Thursday and I can't wait for the weekend to come. My hands are uberly itching to play Plants vs Zombies. IWhen I graduated in high school, I thought Diablo would be the last computer game that I will ever play but thanks to my sister in law Iya I'm back to playing this kind of stuff again. I'm so hooked playing this computer game! I can stay awake for almost 2 days straight just playing this game and literally, kain at banyo lang ang pahinga. When this application was added to my Ipod touch (err.. my son Clyde's ipod. Inangkin na niya eh) I became so happy because at least I can play with it when I'm travelling with my family. Gosh, I don't know whetn this addiction will go but as of now, I'm enjoying this game. To the person/s who developed this game, you're the best! Hopefully you'll be able to come up with a sequel of this game (I finished it a lot of times already, be it with my laptop or Ipod touch). How about you guys? are you addicted to this game as well?

Grendha

Hi everybody! I just would like to show my hubby's gift for my birthday. It's a pink gladiator/thong sandals from Grendha. I've been giving my hubby a lot of hints that I've been wanting these babies as gift. Well, it paid off! Or I guess my hubby just wants to get rid of my Croc-crocan shoes (which I bought for 100 pesos because I got tired of walking around wearing my 4-inch heels). Well whatever his reason is, I just want to let him know that I was sooo happy with my new Pangharabas footwear. You may check Shoe Salon and Jump if you also want to buy a pair of these Uber comfy yet fasyon footwear.I'm so sorry I wasn't able to upload the better pictures of me wearing the sandals. My computer says there's somthing wrong with the file information of my other pics. Anyway, till next time! Mwah!

My Birthday!!!

Hi! Sorry if it took me some time to update my blog.. I just got back to work this week and I need to catch up on my unfinished tasks. Anyway, I was still able to celebrate my birthday last May 9. After Clyde was discharged in the hospital, we went directly to Super8 to shop for ingredients. My hubby's high school friend will be coming over so I need to impress them. Well I guess I was successful. I was able to cook Linguini with sweet tomato sauce, Season's Chicken, Dynamite and Baby back ribs. Sadly my hubby wasn't able to taste my baby back ribs. His friends and his family really loved it. I guess my effort was paid off by all their compliments. Ayway, here are the picturres of my birthday celebration:

Happy Mother's day and Happy Birthday to Me!

I have 2 reasons to celebrate today. I'm turning 26 right now and of course today is Mother's day. Yep, that's 2 reasons alright.. I'm not sure if I will be able to enjoy  this day due to some reasons: (1) We're still here in the hospital taking care of my baby, (2) I have a flu since yesterday and (3)it's liquor ban. I already greeted my mom and my grandlola. I thought that this is the loneliest day for me this year. But my mom's statement struck me today. She told me that being a mother is all about sacrifice. I paused for a moment and realized that she was right. I shouldn't be sulking the entire day just beacuse we are still detained here in Medical City waiting for the doctor's go signal that Clyde can already be discharged so that we can all go home. I became sick not because of stress at work but due to a virus that I got from my baby. At least I can say it's a sign that I was and will always  be beside him. It's ok that I won't be getting any gifts just as long as I will be able to provide for his medication and that I will be able to complete his Shrek toy collection at McDonald's. Right now I've realized that I'm gonna enjoy this day after all. I may not be able to throw a party but at least I'm here with my family. I thank God for giving us Clyde. He's the reason for my existence of being a mother. Happy mother's day to all the mothers out there!!!

Food Trip

Three days has passed and we're still here in Medical City.. I'm so not into hospital food because it tastes bland. We've already tried almost all the food shop here in Medical City and still, my craving for shawarma still doesn't seem to go away..  There's this particular restaurant in Ortigas that always comes first in my mind whenever I'm thinking of shawarma. I know I can't go there right now but I just want to share my experience in the restaurant. Jacob's Shawarma is located along Sapphire road in Ortigas Center. This restaurant is the home of the real Turkish doner kebab. It's one glorified shawarma I think. Their shawarma comes with a lemon wdge instead of the usual garlic sauce (I guess this makes them pretty unique, huh?). I find  it cool that they change their filling everyday. The price? It depends on the filling but I guess the cheapest is the chicken filling. I'm sure you'll get a full stomach after dining in their place because the size of their shawarma is 12 inches (Whoa!). So when you go to Ortigas, don't forget to try Jacob's Shawarma. It's the best!

Day 2 in Medical City Part 2

The reason I made this title for my blog is that this is the second time my son got hospitalized in just two weeks. His fever was on and off and he had some rasher on his face causing his left eyelid to swell a bit. Right now his temperature is at 36.9 and he's sneezing like every minute. Hope you get well soon anak.. Mommy and Daddy loves you..

DVD Marathon

Since we don't have something to do inside Clyde's room here in Medical City, I brought my laptop and some of Clyde's fave DVDs. Geeessshhh.. He's watching Avatar for the Nth time. I really love this movie. But I'm not sure if I can bear watching this movie over and over again. How about you? How do you think about this movie?

Medical City

My son was confined in Medical City due to primary tb and pneumonitis. Guess what? f he got admitted again yesterday due to his fever already ranging 39 degrees celsius and his body's already flushing and his nose bleeding.. I'm praying very hard right now that he gets well before mother's day which also falls on my birthday. I already used my birthday funds for his medication and other miscellaneous expenses. I guess we'll just stay at home after going to church on Sunday. Regardless I'll be very happy if my son gets well. That's my only birthday wish for now. Please pray for my son..
